Datapike Design is my graphic and web design company, but I also sell arts and crafts online and at various local craft shows. I started doing freelance work under this name in 2017 and officially registered the company in February 2018.
I was creating graphics, websites, and crafts in my spare time, while also working at least 40 hours per week at an office job. I came to realize this was not sustainable and I had to pick one track: self-employment or corporate employment. My passion for creativity and growth led me to choose self-employment. This was the largest and most difficult decision I have ever made in my career, especially after spending most of the past 17 years employed full-time. But I knew I needed a change. I wanted to grow. I wanted the freedom to create on my schedule. I knew that if I didn't make a leap right then, I might never do it.
So here I am. Self-employed. Selling crafts online. Creating websites and digital art for various clients as freelance work. Hoping to improve my career through a more flexible environment. Just a regular human trying to make the world a more colorful and creative place.
